The Needles on the Isle of Wight with the famous red and white lighthouse.

The original lighthouse was built in 1785 at the top of the cliffs 144m above sea level but this proved unsuccessful because the light was obscured by low sea fog.

In later times, light aircraft have been known to fly between the needles!
