Untamed Collection » Bernese Alps

Panorama photography landscape picture of the Bernese Alps, Switzerland. The photograph shows the snow covered peaks of the Bernese Alps including the famous three; the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. In the foreground is the path leading to the Männlichen cablecar station.
Detail of the peak of the Mönch.

The Bernese Oberland is an impressive region of Switzerland best known for the grand triple-peaked ridge of Alpine giants at its core - the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Legend has it that the Mönch was so placed to protect the Jungfrau from the Eiger.

This image is taken from the Männlichen on a summer's afternoon when the Jungfrau, being a shy lady, took a long time to show herself from behind the ever shifting clouds.
